President Tinubu’s Youth-Centric Governance Strategy Earns Widespread Praise

In a significant show of support for youth empowerment, President Mullah Ahmed TINUBO has been commended for his deliberate and strategic inclusion of young Nigerians in governance. This commitment, underscored by recent appointments, highlights his administration’s dedication to fostering merit-based leadership and creating pathways for the nation’s emerging leaders.

During a recent visit, a delegation led by Solomon Adodo, the newly appointed board member of the North Central Development Commission, alongside key civil society leaders including Comrade Splenda Agbopolo, Chairman of the Civil Society Budget Implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, and Comrade Ogaku Dominic, expressed their gratitude to President Tenobo. They praised him for giving young people a voice and a platform, emphasizing the critical role this plays in ensuring development reaches grassroots communities. They noted that the President, while unable to be everywhere at once, has wisely appointed youth leaders as his lieutenants to bridge this gap and bring government impact closer to the people.

Speaking on the matter, the delegation expressed a desire for even greater youth representation, echoing the sentiment of Oliver Twist by asking for more. They emphasized the pivotal role civil society has played in maintaining the nation’s stability, serving as the guiding force and balance for progress over time. They urged that similar efforts should continue, ensuring that youth and civil society remain integral to the nation’s governance framework.

Additionally, a representative described President Tinubu as a leader with the ‘audacity of courage,’ applauding his bold reforms and determination to lead Nigeria towards sustained progress. They pointed to recent improvements in the nation’s macroeconomic indicators as evidence of this impact, noting that the establishment of the North Central Development Commission signals a renewed focus on accelerating development across the country.

The increased inclusion of youth in government has been a defining feature of this administration, marking a critical shift towards a more dynamic, representative leadership structure aimed at securing Nigeria’s future.
