The Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of 4 Police Officers attached to its Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit for killing unarmed criminals who were arrested and already in their custody

The Policemen recognized as Inspector Fabiyi Omomayara, Sergeant Olaniyi Solomon, Sergeant Solomon Sunday and Corporal Aliyu Mukaila are both from the Iba Division Patrol team.

That act of extrajudicial murders falls short of police professional standards and cannot be tolerated by the Command.

CP Zubairu Muazu, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.

The Police Officers are presently ruled to internal disciplinary proceedings recognized as Orderly Room trial and if found culpable, they will be sacked from the Police Force and will be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba for prosecution in the conventional Court
